Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee

We are committed to the lifelong health and wellbeing of every puppy we raise. As part of that commitment, we offer a Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee — but only for conditions that are:

> 100% genetic or congenital in origin, and

> Either life-threatening or permanently and seriously debilitating

This Guarantee is in place to protect both you and your puppy from the rare but serious genetic disorders that can affect dogs — while maintaining fairness and clarity about what is and is not covered.

What’s Covered

If your puppy is diagnosed by a qualified veterinarian with a serious genetic or congenital condition, we will:

> Refund 100% of the original purchase price of your puppy [i.e. not including transport or other costs], or

> Contribute to treatment costs, up to the purchase price, provided treatment is carried out at a veterinary clinic approved by us.

We reserve the right to request a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choice (at our expense). If the puppy is euthanized or disposed of before this second opinion is obtained, the buyer forfeits all rights to a refund or reimbursement.

To qualify, the condition must meet all of the following criteria:

> Proven to be 100% genetic or congenital (not environmental or developmental)

> Severe enough to be life-threatening or permanently and seriously impairing quality of life

This includes severe (Grade 3) hip dysplasia, Grade 4 patellar luxation, and Grade 3 elbow dysplasia, provided that all of the following conditions are met:

The dog was not spayed or neutered before 12 months of age, and the dog has never been allowed to become overweight or obese.

In addition, these genetic diseases in the French Bulldog that we are able to genetically screen our parent dogs for are covered by this Guarantee, including:

> Canine Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1)

> Hyperuricosuria (HUU)

> Juvenile Hereditary Cataract (JHC)

What’s NOT Covered – PLEASE READ!

To keep this Guarantee fair and realistic, we do not cover:

> Any condition not conclusively diagnosed as 100% genetic or congenital

> Non-serious or cosmetic issues (e.g., hernias, cherry eye, juvenile vulva, undescended testicle(s), mild allergies)

> Conditions caused by environmental factors, including poor diet, trauma, toxin exposure, infections, parasites, or inappropriate medication use

> Illnesses linked to routine medical procedures or owner choices that conflict with our health recommendations

CLAUSES FOR CONDITIONS THAT ARE SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES IN FRENCH BULLDOGS

Inter Vertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)

This Guarantee does not cover IVDD, as it is not solely genetic in most cases.

However, we actively reduce your puppy’s IVDD risk by:

> Obtaining OFA spine ratings for all breeding dogs

> Carefully choosing mates with fewer spine anomalies in an effort to produce generations with healthier spines

> Educating owners on feeding practices to reduce inflammation and prevention strategies to support spine health

Cancer

This condition is also not covered, as it is not solely a genetic defect.

Still, we reduce your puppy’s risk by:

> Breeding to improve genetic diversity

> Avoiding breeding from families with an above average incidence of cancer for the breed

> Providing owners with resources to reduce cancer risk through diet, lifestyle and minimal exposure to toxins

In the Event of Death

If your puppy passes away and you believe a genetic issue is the cause, you must arrange a necropsy by a qualified veterinarian (at your expense) to determine the cause of death.

A refund or replacement will only be considered if the cause is confirmed to be a genetic or congenital condition, or an illness present at the time of sale.

Your Responsibilities

To maintain this Guarantee and safeguard your puppy’s long-term health, we expect owners to follow responsible care practices, including:

> A vet health check within 72 hours of receiving your puppy

> A natural, species-appropriate diet, such as Rotational MonoFeeding (RMF)

> Delayed spay/neuter (after 12 months of age)

> Maintaining a healthy body weight

> Minimizing exposure to veterinary drugs except those necessary to protect your pet’s health, such as excessive use of routine dewormers, chemical flea/tick preventatives, and vaccines.

These recommendations are not just for compliance — they’re part of our shared responsibility to help your dog live a long, healthy life.

At any time you are welcome to ask us about natural/raw feeding of your dog, titers vs. vaccinations, and natural methods of parasite control. We are happy to share what we are doing with our own dogs to promote health, longevity and quality of life. We are here to support you throughout the life of your puppy/dog!

Lifetime Rehoming Guarantee

Your puppy also has a lifetime rehoming guarantee with us, so should you have an inability to care for him or her in the future, you can contact us at any stage of your puppy’s life to return him/her to us.  Under no circumstances must your puppy ever be given up to a shelter or sold without our permission.
